Why this is on Radar
Editorial assessment of its aesthetic: self-titled debut built from 1980s action-cinema cues, connected by mood rather than by a dystopian narrative.
A debut that treats the 1980s as a film library: helicopters, neon titles and synthesiser fanfares, with guest vocals from an actual 1980s action star. Retro-futurism as affection rather than warning.
