Why this is on Radar
Concept album: an explicit post-apocalyptic scenario in which climate collapse has produced a new desert religion.
Numan's late-career high point sets a story of survivors in a ruined, overheated world against heavy industrial electronics. Faith, drought and salvage replace the chrome futures of his earlier records.
