Four futures

Apocalyptic

The collapse while it is still happening.

Apocalyptic stories stay inside the event: the breach, the evacuation, the hours when the skyline stops being a skyline. They are about the failure of the systems that were supposed to hold, and the decisions people make before anyone knows what the world will look like afterwards.

The event itself — failure, evacuation and the week the lights go out.
